  • Represented Southern University and the state of Louisiana as an attendee at the National Conference of the Music Teacher National Association in Milwaukee, WI.

  • Actively engaged at the Piano Wellness and Collegiate Chapter Forums.

  • Became a nationally certified as an MTNA piano teacher.

Looking Glass

  • Performed with the Brazilian cellist Marcelo Vieira on an interdisciplinary artistic concert involving music, acting, singing, dancing. The performance took place at the Shaver Theater- LSU College of Music and Dramatic Arts

  • Accompanied the Southern University Concert Choir, director Charles Lloyd Jr. and soloists Jacqueline Paige- Green (soprano), Richard Hobson (baritone) at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

  • Program: Spirituals and the World Premier of the “Spirit Song” for piano, choir and soloists

TV Interview- Ernesto Nazareth’s Complete Edition- TV Cultura

  • Release of the Complete Edition for Piano Solo of the Brazilian composer Ernesto Nazareth at the program Metropolis at TV Cultura, a national broadcast on prime time Brazilian television.

  • Live televised performance and interview with Mr. Casarotti and the manager of the edition, Thiago Cury.

Lecture-“Becoming a Professional Musician”- Orquestra Filarmônica Jovem de Piracicaba

  • Clinician for the Orquestra Filarmonica Jovem de Piracicaba, a youth orchestra inspired on the Venezuelan “El Systema”, where students from poor communities receive free music lessons and became musicians of the orchestra. The Title of the lecture “Becoming a Professional Musician”. The lecture was presented for 70 students of the OFJP, parents, music teachers and local press.

  • Created the new Southern University Student Chapter in the Fall of 2011

  • Became a state certified LMTNA piano teacher.

  • Chaperoned a group of 4 piano students, who remain actively involved in the student chapter.

  • Represented Southern University and the SU Collegiate Chapter at the Louisiana Music Teachers Association at LSU School of Music

  • Actively involved with the State Collegiate Chapter’s Forum

  • Elected two Southern University students as part of the Louisiana State Collegiate board members: Jerrell Gray (Vice- President) and Jonathan Wicker (treasurer)

  • Elected Community Outreach and Educational Board for the Louisiana Music Teacher Association
